read (the beauty of friendship).. The story focuses on two roomates - Otilia  & Gabriela  trying to arrange an abortion (which btw is illegal in Romania). The story basically looks on from Otilia's point of view and to the length she goes to help her friend get an abortion while questioning issues from her own relationship..!!! The movie subtly addresses the emotion women all over the world go through getting an abortion.. the 5 minute still when Otilla looks over the aborted feotus in the bathroom is captivating..! Brilliant performances by both the leads (especially Anamaria Marinca as Otilia) - portraying head strong women, but helpless at times.. a touching movie.. a must watch for the women ..!!
My take: Unmissable !!

Garden State

One of the best movies i happened to watch lately...! A great rendition of how perfect life can be amidst imperfection..!! Zack Braff does great as the guy who comes back home to face life and stops "bubble wrapping his mishaps".. He is surrounded by the right amount of eccentricity to make him feel at home.. Natalie Portman however is the icing for this cake.. she is just brilliant in her portrayal of Samantha.. she takes you in for a ride..and makes you fall in love with her..!! A compulsively lying charater, its actually cute when a new trait to her personality unfoldes after every scene..!! But what makes this story most compelling, is that it feels real in spite of the fact that not one character is sane..!! The main leads, Largeman a losing actor cum waiter, losing on life owing to the drugs his phychatrist father puts him on to shield him from pain, Sam who cant control her lying, Mike the stealing grave digger and of course every other character .. make this entire movie experience totally worth a watch. What is more surprising is that the movie actually grows on you..! Yes, the first time i watched it, i enjoyed it fine.. But then i kind of got drawn to watching it again, and again...

Also devour the amazing soundtrack, a personal pick by Zach Braff.. wonderful..simply.. :)

My take - Oh yeah baby !!

The very first one..

Following my leg injury, i was kind of quarantined at home for pretty long.. of course with not much to do.. and no physical activity whatsoever.. i had limited choices of what to do with the time i had on hand.. powered with a good internet connection however.. i kind of got interested about movies.. a steep research followed (and still does) .. and now here i am sharing that information with you guys..! I'll try my best to take my take on the movies that i download and watch.. (almost on a daily basis now).. someone actually suggested that i should do my bit to pay it back.. and i guess this is how i am going to do it.. anyone looking for some good stuff to download is free to drop in here for some help..
